| Shorn of detail and often deliberately restricted in range of colours, Romeo di Girolamo's landscapes are concerned with the core, the essence of the scene. Sometimes this is revealed by his use of an unfamiliar viewpoint; sometimes by a barrier or series of barriers which lead the observer to penetrate into the landscape. It is the honesty of his work which causes its impact. |  |
